Kessock Diamond

The newest athletic facility at the University of Maine, Phase I of Kessock Field was constructed thanks to the generosity of benefactors Mike Kessock, Stephen and Tabitha King, and others in the community.

Phase I of the project, which opened in 2000, featured a new natural grass playing surface with dugouts, bullpens, a scoreboard, and batting cages. Phase II was completed in 2003 with the addition of the Slott Family Grandstand and expansion of the batting cage area, which was donated by Kathryn Slott.

The field itself measures 200 feet down both foul lines, and 220 feet to dead center. The entire field is surrounded by wind screens, with the scoreboard above the fence in left center field.

The facilty has hosted the America East Softball Championship twice, in 2004 and in 2006.
