HEADING INTO 2007: Is expected to be in Maine's starting rotation... played for the Vermont Mountaineers of the New England Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2006 where he helped lead the Mountaineers to the NECBL Championship.

2006: Had a great rookie season for the Black Bears... named to the America East All-Tournament team... saw action in 14 games for Maine, starting 10... was 5-4 with a 4.64 ERA.. his earned run average was second lowest among Maine's starters... struck out 27 batters on the season... earned first career win with an 11-3 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore (4/1)... pitched a complete game, earning a 3-1 win over Binghamton (4/29)... allowed just one unearned run in the game while striking out four batters... pitched 6.1 innings against Vermont (5/21) in the final series of the regular season... allowed just one unearned run while striking out three... had a great performance against Vermont in the America East Tournament... went 7.0 innings where he allowed just two runs, one of which was earned, as the Black Bears defeated the Catamounts 5-2... struck out a career-high six batters in the game... earned the start against sixth-ranked and national runner up North Carolina in Maine's first NCAA Regional game... went 5.1 innings against the Tar Heels where he struck out four batters.
