HEADING INTO 2007: Is working his way back from an injury. .. played for the Danbury Westerners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2006. 2006: Saw action in 14 games for the Black Bears... finished with a record of 3-0 on the mound... posted a 5.13 ERA... earned a save in Maine's win over Penn (3/9) where he fanned a season-high three batters in the game... worked a season-high five innings against Hartford (5/14)... earned wins over Iona, N.Y.I.T. and Maryland Eastern Shore. 2005: One of the biggest surprises for the Black Bears in 2005... saw action in 11 games for Maine, starting four... was 2-3 with a 4.10 ERA... pitched 41.2 innings on the season and allowed 41 hits and 24 runs... struck out 14 batters... earned wins against Boston College (4/22) and Northeastern (5/14)... started the America East Championship game at Vermont (5/28) where he pitched a season-high eight innings... struck out a pair of batters in the game... saw time against Oklahoma in the NCAA Tournament. BEFORE MAINE: Captain for Paul Withee at Foxcroft Academy where he saw time on the mound and also in the outfield and at first base... was 4-1 on the season with a 2.33 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 30 innings during the American Legion season... Foxcroft finished at the Eastern Maine Class B runner-up in 2003 and in 2002 was the Eastern Maine Class B Champion and State runner-up... named to the Class B First Team as a utility player.... named a Webber Senior all-star... received the Coaches Award... 2004 Legion second team pitcher... born April 17, 1985... son of Wally and Nancy Weymouth... a mechanical engineering technology major. |
