ORONO, Maine-- University of Maine baseball senior Aaron Izaryk (Markham, Ontario) was named a Second Team Academic All-American on Tuesday, May 31. Last week, he was named to the America East First Team, marking the fourth time in his career that he has earned all-conference honors. He was also named to the America East All-Tournament for the third time in his career. In 2004, he was named the America East top scholar-athlete in baseball. Izaryk has been named to the America East First Team three times and once received second team honors. He has three times been selected to the America East All-Tournament team. Izaryk is a three-time UMaine Scholar-Athlete award winner and has been named to the America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. As a freshman he was named a Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. Izaryk is a kinesiology and physical education major.
