2003-04: UMaine Scholar-Athlete Award winner... Known as a defensive specialist as he normally guards the top guard on the opposing team... Saw action in 24 games, starting 23 during the second semester after becoming eligible after transferring from Notre Dame... Ranked 11th in America East in assist-to-turnover ratio... Tied for 13th in America East in assists, averaging 2.5 per contest... Averaged 5.6 ppg... Scored a career-high 13 points in Maine's win over Binghamton (2/8)... Tied his career-high with 13 points at Northeastern (2/26)... Led Maine with six assists at Stony Brook (1/31)... Became the first Black Bear to log 40 minutes in a game during the season when he went the distance at Albany (2/14)... Grabbed a career-high five rebounds against the Great Danes... Recorded a career-high three blocks at Vermont (2/29).
BEFORE UMAINE: Highly recruited by the Maine coaching staff as a high-schooler... Spent two and a half seasons at Notre Dame... Sat out all of 2000-01 after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery... Appeared in 18 games his sophomore season for the Fighting Irish, averaging 5.3 minutes per contest... Made the Dean's List in the fall of 2000 at Notre Dame... Left Notre Dame midway through the 2002 season and decided to return to Maine where he was the state Gatorade Player of the Year in 2000 for head coach Tony DiBiase at South Portland High School... Finished his high school career with 1,083 points, 279 rebounds, 255 assists and 107 steals.
