Jan. 8, 2009
STONY BROOK, N.Y.--The University of Maine men's basketball teams travels to take on Stony Brook on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Maine will be playing its second America East game of the season. The Black Bears will look to get back on the winning track after dropping a tough game to Binghamton in their America East opener. Socoby will try to duplicate that performance as he currently leads the Black Bears in scoring with 12.9 points per game. Sharpshooting freshman Gerald McLemore (San Diego, Calif.) is leading all America East rookies in scoring with 12.5 points per game. The game will feature two of the youngest teams in America East, with each team giving its freshmen solid playing time thus far this season. Stony Brook is led by reigning America East Player of the Week Muhammad El-Amin, who is scoring 13.1 points per game. Fans can catch all the action on the Black Bear Sports Network with Ron Lisnet covering all the action on the court. Complete Release in PDF Format
