Maine Football To Play Albany In Portland

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine's 2005 football schedule has been finalized, with the October 1 game against Albany to be played at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. The Black Bears last played in Portland during the 2003 season.

In addition, a tentative television schedule has been announced, with WABI-TV 5 in Bangor broadcasting home games against William Penn, Richmond, Massachusetts, Delaware and Rhode Island. The Delaware game will also be broadcast on CN8, available on Comcast cable systems in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

The Black Bears will open the 2005 season with a game at Division I-A Nebraska. The home opener for Maine will take place on September 10 against William Penn. The Atlantic-10 schedule begins the following week as the Black Bears host Richmond on September 17 for Friends and Family Weekend. The complete schedule can be seen here.
