Tannous Named to Canada's U-20 Team for Argentina Match

ORONO, Maine--Incoming University of Maine men's soccer first-year player Daniel Tannous (Thornhill, Ontario) has been called into the Canada U-20 National Team announced on Monday, May 5, 2008. Team Canada will play a friendly match against six-time FIFA U-20 World Cup champions Argentina on Sunday, May 11.

"We are all thrilled that Daniel has been called into the Canadian U-20 National Team for this camp and friendly against Argentina," said Maine head coach Pat Laughlin. "The chance to impress the National Team staff and play against a world class opponent is a great opportunity for him."

Daniel Tannous is a 5-11, 170-pound back. He was captain of Canada's U-17 team in World Cup Qualification where he scored the game-winning goal against host country Jamaica.
