Maine and Vermont Game Moved To Hampden Academy
Oct. 14, 2005 ORONO, Me. - The Maine Black Bears and Vermont Catamounts will play at the Hampden Academy on their all-weather fieldturf field instead of the University of Maine's Alumni grass field due to the projected rain forecast later today and tomorrow. Game time remains the same with a 12:00 pm kickoff on Saturday, October 15th. Hampden Academy Athletic Director David Shapiro has been instrumental in making the venue change. Shapiro shuffled game schedules and has worked extremely hard to accommodate the Maine Black Bears men's soccer team. Maine comes into the game with a 0-2-2 conference record and 2-7-2 overall. The Black Bears sit in eighth place in the America East and will face the fourth place Vermont Catamounts who are tied for fourth spot with Binghamton with a 2-2-0 America East record and a 9-4-1 overall record.
