Marc Goulet Finalist for 2008 America East Men's Soccer Fans' Choice Player of the Year

ORONO, Maine - University of Maine men's soccer junior Marc Goulet (Plainville, Conn.) has been a been named a finalist for the 2008 America East Men's Soccer Fans' Choice Player of the Year. People are encouraged to click here, and vote for Goulet.

Goulet, an assistant captain for the Black Bears, has started all 16 games at midfield for the Black Bears this season. He leads the team in minutes played with 1,488. He notched an assist on Alex Rickett's game-winning goal at Stony Brook on Oct. 19.

Goulet is a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner and has also been named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.

Maine is 5-9-2 on the season and finished 2-5-1 in America East play. The Black Bears have five shutouts on the season and finished one point shy of earning an America East playoff berth.

Voting ends on Nov. 10 at 12 noon. Fans are encouraged to log on and vote for Goulet!
