![]() Track Competes At ECAC And IC4A Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Maine men's indoor track team competed in the IC4A Indoor Championships at Boston University and the women's indoor track teams competed in the ECAC Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, which were hosted by Northeastern University. For the women, Hana Pelletier (Belgrade, Maine) finished the 800 meters in 2:13.14 to finish fifteenth in the preliminaries. Kathryn Souviney (East Vassalboro, Maine) scored 3411 points in the pentathlon to finish eleventh overall. Amanda Virgets (Stevensville, Md.) ran the 500 meters in 1:17.61. Heather Zavaduk (Smithers, B.C.) competed in the pole vault. At the IC4A, Donald Drake (Portland, Maine) ran the mile in 4:16.08 to finish seventeenth in the preliminaries. In the 5000 meters, Kirby Davis (Falmouth, Maine) was fifteenth with a time of 14:31.74. His time broke the school record of 14:34.37 that was set by Gerad Clapper in 1983. The Black Bears 4x800 meter relay team of Scott O'Connor (East Greenville, Pa.), Donald Drake, Eric Libby (Hampden, Maine) and Daniel Voner (Hallowell, Maine) posted a time of 7:50.98.
