![]() Men's XC Finishes Just Behind UNH
Sept. 21, 2007 ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine men's cross country team came in second place to UNH on Saturday. The men's team had a close race on their hands but eventually fell to UNH by a score of 26-29. Chris Harmon was the men's highest finisher for Maine as he placed second with a time of 25:32. Miles Bartlett followed him with an third-place effort in a time of 26:19. Brendan Carr was fifth in a time of 26:36, while Corey Bean was eigth in 26:58. Maine finished the meet with four runners in the top 10 and five of their six in the top 12. Scott Batson rounded out the top 5 scorers for Maine with an 27:03 11th place finish. The Black Bears finished with 29 points on the day. UNH won the men's event with a total of 26 points. Josh Kearns was the overall first place winner with a time of 25:28.
