![]() Men's and Women's Cross Country Competes at NCAA Eastern Regionals

NEW YORK, N.Y.--The University of Maine men's and women's cross country teams placed 17th and 24th, respectively, at the NCAA Eastern Regionals at Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y. on Satuurday. The men were led by Riley Masters (Bangor, Maine) who placed 56th while the women were led by Corey Conner (Townsend, Mass.) who came in 45th. On the women's side, Conner ran the women's course in 22:41.7 and was followed in 120th by Allison Conner (Townsend, Mass.) with a time of 24:05.1. Chelsea Leeman (Brunswick, Maine) placed 135th with a time of 24:15.7 while Hilary Maxim (Old Town, Maine) came in 136th with a time of 24:16.7. Stephanie Jette (Lovell, Maine) was the fifth Maine finisher in a time of 24:31.9. On the men's side, Masters ran the men's course in a time of 33:21.7. He was followed by Miles Bartlett (Casco, Maine) in 72nd with a time of 33:54.1 and Christopher Harmon (Scarborough, Maine) in 104th with a time of 34:33.3 and Corey Bean (Cornville, Maine) in 106th with a time of 34:33.8. Charles Therriault (Clinton, Mass.) was the fifth Maine finisher with a time of 35:20.0.
