 Black Bears to Host Murray Keatinge Cross Country Invitational
Sept. 30, 2004 ORONO, Maine- The Black Bear men's and women's cross country team will host the 13th Annual Murray Keatinge Invitational on Saturday, October 2. The men's five mile race begins at 11:00 am, with the women's five kilometer race starting at 12:00 pm. Both races begin on the practice fields and end on the Alfond Stadium track. The Murray Keatinge Cross Country Invitational is a lasting tribute to Murray Keatinge, who was a great friend to track and field and cross country across the United States. The meet is supported by sponsors such as: Lynx System Developers, Margaritas, Adidas, Beynon Sport Surfaces, the "M" Club, Governor's Restaurant and the Black Bear Inn. Teams participating this year include: Boston College, Brown, Central Connecticut State, Colgate (men only), Dalhousie, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Southern Methodist University (women only), Purdue (men only), Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
