Box Score

HARTFORD, Conn. - Bracey Barker scored a team-best 11 points and pulled down nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Maine dropped a 58-40 decision to Hartford on Tuesday night at Chase Arena.

Ashley Underwood chipped in with 10 points, as Maine fell to 13-13 overall and 7-8 in America East.

MaryLynne Schaefer came off the bench to net a game-high 13 points, while grabbing six rebounds and handing out four assists. Diana Delva and Ikea Witt each scored 10 points to round out the double-figure scorers for the Hawks, who clinched a share of the America East regular season championship with the win.

Maine jumped out to an early 6-0 lead three minutes into the contest. However, Hartford scored 10 of the next 14 points to grab a 10-9 lead and would never trail the rest of the way.

Barker led Maine in scoring for the second-straight game and has scored in double-figures in 17-straight America East regular season contests.

The Black Bears return to action on Saturday when they travel to Stony Brook to face the Seawolves at 4 p.m. The contest will mark the final game of the 2006-07 regular season as Maine will then take part in the conference tournament from March 8-11 at Binghamton University in Vestal, N.Y.
