Women's Basketball Pulls Off Come-From-Behind 72-61 Win Over Dartmouth

Nov. 29, 2006

Box Score

HANOVER, N.H. - Bracey Barker scored all 17 of her points in the second half and Maine overcame a 10-point deficit in the second half to pull out a 72-61 win at Dartmouth on Wednesday night at Leede Arena in Hanover, N.H.

Maine improved to 5-1 with the win, their best start since the 1997-98 season.

Ashley Underwood added 13 points, while Amanda Tewksbury and Lindsey Hugstad-Vaa netted 11 and 10 points, respectively. It marked Tewksbury's first-career double-figure scoring game.

For Barker, it marked the sixth time in as many games this season she led the Black Bears in scoring.

The win also gave Maine three wins against the defending tri-champions of the Ivy League from the 2005-06 season. The Black Bears also defeated Princeton and Brown earlier this season.

The Black Bears return to action next Thursday when they face Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., at 7 p.m.
