MASSACHUSETTS GAME STORYLINES **The University of Maine women's basketball team returns to its home state on Sunday when the Black Bears play host to Massachusetts at 2 p.m., at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Maine. The Black Bears are in search of their first win on the young season. **Maine is coming off a tough setback at Central Connecticut State on Thursday night by a score of 65-57. Junior guard Kristin Baker led Maine with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds, while also handing out seven assists. It marked the second double-double of her career. **Massachusetts is coming off a 67-51 win at home over New Hampshire on Wednesday night. The Minutewomen have won two straight after dropping the season opener last week at Vermont 83-69. Stefanie Gerardot leads the team in scoring at 22.3 points per game. **Sunday's game will be held in the Augusta Civic Center. The Black Bears are playing in Augusta for the first time since Feb. 22, 2004, when they pulled off a 61-35 win over UMBC in an America East contest. **Maine and UMass met last season in Amherst with the Minutewomen pulling out a 74-55 victory over the Black Bears. Tanna Ross came off the bench to score 20 points. She knocked down six three-pointers to tie the school-record for treys in a game.
**Freshman center Samantha Baranowski is leading Maine in scoring at 9.0 points per game during the first two contests of the season. She has scored nine points in each of the opening two games. Sophomore guard Tanna Ross' 13 points against Central Connecticut State on Thursday night is the most by a Black Bear in a game this season.
