Women's Ice Hockey to Hold Boys and Girls Youth Skills Clinics

March 3, 2008

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine Women's Ice Hockey Team will be holding Boys and Girls Youth Skills Clinics at Alfond Arena over the next month. Young aspiring hockey players will have the chance to skate and learn from the Women's Ice Hockey coaches and players directly.

The clinic schedule will be:

"Shooting to Score" - March 11

"Play Making and Passing" - March 18

"Defensive Concepts" - April 1

"Offensive Attacks" - April 8

There will be separate sessions for Mites and Squirts and Peewee and Bantam groups. The Mites and Squirts will go from 5pm-6pm on clinic days while the Peewee and Bantam group will go from 6:15-7:15 on clinic days. Prices for the sessions will be $15 each or $40 for all four sessions. All sessions will be free for goaltenders.
