Women's Soccer Falls at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The University of Maine women's soccer fell to Harvard by the score of 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Cambridge, Mass. With the loss, Maine fell to 5-4-5 on the year while Harvard improved to 6-3-3. Maine was led by Kelsey Wilson (Gorham, Maine) who noctched her second goal of the season. The Black Bears were down 3-0 going into the second half of play, but would get one back early in the second half. In the 48th minute, Christine LaBelle (Nepean, Ontario) found Wilson and she buried it from the right side to cut the lead. Maine would continue to play tough, but Harvard's Christina Hagner (San Francisco, Calif.) scored in the 77th minute to put the game just out of reach of the Black Bears. Maine was outshot 15-to-12. Jasmine Phillips (Nepean, Ontario) made five saves in net for Maine. The Black Bears return to action on Sunday when they play the Vermont Catamounts at 1 p.m. -U-M-
