ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's soccer team dropped a tough 2-1 decision at New Hampshire on Thursday in Durham. Maine fell to 4-6-3 overall and 2-2-1 in America East. UNH improved to 9-5-1 and 5-1-0 in the league.

Martel gave Maine a 1-0 lead at the 73:03 mark of the second period with a goal from the right side of the box into the left side of the net.

However, the Wildcats answered 20 seconds later with a goal to knot it at 1-1, and then scored the game-winner at the 87:39 mark with a header from Marianne Rivard to the top of the goal.

Black Bear goalkeeper Jasmine Phillips made seven saves in the contest, including four in the opening period. She made three in the second period.

Maine returns to action Sunday when it plays host to Binghamton at 12 p.m., at Alumni Field in Orono.
