Women's Soccer Falls at Vermont

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Vermont on Thursday afternoon in Burlington, Vt. The Black Bears fell to 5-7-3 on the season and 3-3-1 in America East. The Catamounts improved to 3-13-1 and 2-5 in the league. Carson Laderoute scored the game's lone goal at the 81:08 mark of the contest to propel Vermont to the win. Laderoute's goal was assisted by Jessica Becker. The Black Bears outshot the Catamounts 11-4 in the contest. Vermont goalkeeper Eliza Bradley made eight saves in the contest.
Maine returns to action on Sunday when it closes out the regular season by playing host to Stony Brook at 12 p.m., at Alumni Field in Orono.
