Heather Hathorn Named Co-America East Player of the Week

BOSTON, Mass.-- University of Maine women's soccer senior forward Heather Hathorn was named the co-America East Player of the Week on Monday, September 19. She shares the honor with TIffany Fasullo of Stony Brook University.

Hathorn scored a goal in Maine's 4-1 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday, September 13 in a game played in Falmouth, Maine. She followed that up with a pair of goals in Maine's 3-0 victory over Marist on Sunday afternoon.

Hathorn leads Maine in scoring with four goals and one assist for nine points. She leads America East in shots per game, averaging 3.88 per contest. She is fifth in both goals per game with 0.50 and points per game, averaging 1.12 per contest.

Hathorn is Maine's all-time leading scorer. She has a school-record 31 goals and also holds the Maine mark for career points with 75.

Hathorn and the Black Bears, 5-3-0 on the season, return to action on Friday, September 23 when they travel to the University of Rhode Island for a 7:00 p.m. game with the Rams.
