Anjelica Hodgson Named to All-Academic District 1 Team

ORONO, Maine--University of Maine women's soccer junior fullback Anjelica Hodgson has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA All-Academic District I Third Team. Hodgson, from Nepean, Ontario, has maintained a 3.74 grade point average while majoring in biochemistry. Hodgson is a two-time Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner as well as a two-time selection to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll. Last season, she was an All-America East Academic Team selection. As a fullback, she has anchored a defense that has allowed the third-fewest goals in America East. A Second Team All-America East selection last season, Hodgson has started every game for the Black Bears since she came to Orono, a string of 54 straight games.
