Softball Falls to Saint Joseph's, Pa.

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The University of Maine softball team dropped a 5-1 decision to Saint Joseph's, Pa., on Sunday afternoon on the final day of the USF Under Armour Invitational in Clearwater, Fla. The Black Bears fell to 0-17 on the season. Ashley Waters smacked a double for the Black Bears, while Stephanie George accounted for Maine's lone RBI as she drew a bases loaded walk. Christine McGivney started in the pitching circle for Maine and suffered the loss as she allowed three runs over two innings of work.
Maine returns to action Tuesday when it takes on Hawai'i Pacific University in Honolulu at 9 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (HAT).
