![]() Megan Wolters, Kathryn Souviney Earn America East Honors
Jan. 11, 2005 BOSTON, Mass. - The America East Conference announced that Megan Wolters was named the women's swimmer of the week and Kathryn Souviney was the women's track performer of the week for performances over the weekend. Megan Wolters (Cleveland, Miss.) won two individual events in a meet against Yale. Wolters won the 500 free in 5:07.16, which set a new school record in the event. She also picked up a first place finish in the 200 free (1:56.18) and was a member of the first-place 200 medley relay. This marks the second consecutive week Wolters has earned the America East honor. Kathryn Souviney (East Vassalboro, Maine) was third in the 60 meter hurdles at the Dartmouth Relays with a time of 9.05. She added a third place finish in the pentathlon with 3,285 points, which currently ranks first in America East performances this season. Next up for the Black Bears track and field team will be a meet at Providence for the women on Sunday and at Boston University for the men on Saturday.
