Megan Wolters, Anthony Morgan Earn America East Honors

BOSTON, Mass. - The America East Conference announced that Megan Wolters was named the women's swimmer of the week and Anthony Morgan was the men's field performer of the week for performances over the weekend.

Megan Wolters (Cleveland, Miss.) won three individual events in a 193-107 dual meet win over Boston University. Wolters picked up first place finishes in the 200 free (1:55.55), 200 back (2:08.58) which was twelve seconds faster than the second place finisher, and the 200 IM (2:14.75). She was also a member of the first-place 200 medley relay.

Anthony Morgan (South Berwick, Maine) finished first in the weight throw with a throw of 16 meters. He added a third place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.11 meters.

Next up for the Black Bears track and field team will be a meet at Dartmouth on January 9th. The swim team will face Yale on January 9th at Wallace Pool. For more information on University of Maine athletics, please visit www.GoBlackBears.com.
