First Day of New England Championships

Feb. 29, 2008

BOSTON, Mass. - The women's track and field team competed at the New England Indoor Track Championships on the Boston University campus on Friday. Representatives from colleges around New England participated.

Vicki Tolton and Lindsay Burlock finished two-three in the 400m dash with times of 57.19 and 57.47 respectively. Jennifer Pierpont finished 19th in the 55m dash preliminaries with a time of 7.51. Vanessa Letourneau finished 12th in the 800m run with a time of 2:16.74. Stephanie Jette finished eighth in the 1000m run with a time of 3:01.46. Allyson Thomas ended up tied for seventh in the pole vault with a leap of 10'-10".

The women's team will compete in the New England Championships again tomorrow.
