Vicki Tolton Named America East Women's Track Performer of the Week

ORONO, Maine-- University of Maine women's track and field sprinter Vicki Tolton was named the America East Women's Track Peformer of the Week on Tuesday for her performance last weekend. Tolton won the 400 meter dash at the Wildcat Invitational in a school-record time of 56.17. Tolton, a junior from Smither, British Columbia, also qualified for the ECAC Champisonhips with her record-breaking time. Tolton dropped her season-low time by more than 0.70 seconds to beat the ECAC qualifying time of 56.34. The Black Bears have their next meet this Saturday, April 19, at Holy Cross. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. -U-M-
