Women's 4x400 Relay Team Sets School Record at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania- The University of Maine women's 4x400 meter relay team set a school record on Thursday at the Penn Relays. The team of Vicki Tolton (Smithers, British Columbia), Vanessa Letourneau (Fairfield, Maine), Lindasy Burlock (Caribou, Maine) and Allyson Howatt (Fredericton, New Brunswick) had a time of 3:48.27, which bettered the previous mark the team had set earlier this year of 3:48.65. The team finished 36th out of 83 teams at the highly-competitive meet. In Friday's events, the men's 4x400 meter relay team will compete at approximately 4:30 p.m. while the women's 4x200 relay team will compete at approximately 2 p.m. The rest of the Black Bear men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will travel to New Hampshire for a meet this Saturday.
