Volleyball Falls in America East Tournament 3-1 to Albany

The University of Maine volleyball team fought hard in its semi-final match against America East tournament host Albany, but fell in four sets to end their 2008 campaign. The Black Bears finish the season 14-13 overall while the Great Danes improve to 21-8 and will take on Binghamton in the America East Championship on Saturday, Nov. 22. Maine was led by Laura Goettsch (Woodstock, Ontario) who tallied a match-high 17 kills and 21 digs.  More
