Women's XC Takes Meet Against UNH
Sept. 21, 2007 ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's cross country team won their meet against UNH on Friday making it their 2nd first place finish of the season. The women's team enjoyed a tremendous day as they won the event with a score of 26. UNH finished with a score of 29. Black Bear runner Elonnai Hickok won the individual title in a time of 17:54. Hickok was one of five Maine runners who finished in the top 10 of the individual standings. Laura Brustolon placed third with a time of 19:04, while Chelsea Leeman took fifth place with a mark of 19:15. Jolene Belanger and Sabrina Petri finished eighth and ninth, respectively Brustolon had a time of 19:25, while Petri had a 19:27 mark. UNH placed second with 29 points. Emily Osgood, who placed second overall, finished the highest for the Wildcats.
